And so much more is our beautiful Relais & Châteaux Hotel Gut Steinbach on the outskirts of Reit im Winkl. At the foot of the Chiemgau Alps, where the fox and the rabbit say good night, the hotel with its incomparable chalet village is located on a small high plateau. Deer graze on the southern mountain slopes and Tauernscheck, an endangered breed of goat, stand proudly under the trees. To the west, a herd of yaks moves across the natural land and the unmistakable crows of a rooster mix into the natural idyll.
Your holiday begins in the forester's house, which houses the reception and the exclusive Moltke wine lounge. The main building with its rooms and suites is the center of our estate. Here the lovingly designed restaurant HEIMAT with its three rooms, the cozy fireplace bar and a large terrace facing south and west ensures cozy evenings with gourmet menus, wine and alpine cocktail creations.
The new Heimat & Natur SPA, which will opened in december 2021, is also located in the main building. An imposing panorama sauna with a view over Reit im Winkl and a soothing organic sauna awaits you here in. Experience showers, a rainy steam bath and a 16 meter indoor pool round off the wellness offer. You will find all the tranquility in the world in various lounge corners, oases of calm, a library and a loggia. The fitness room and the treatment rooms with a wide range of offers from Gertraud Gruber have been redeveloped, too. The newly designed garden also offers space for yoga and relaxing hours in the Bavarian sun.
The idyllic chalet village stretches to the west, which is lined with a small natural swimming pond. The seven chalets welcome their guests with a real feeling of coming home. Two to three bedrooms, a cozy living room, a kitchen and even a private wellness area with sauna and adventure shower characterize the chalets in country house style. Three premium suites have found their home in the Steinbacher Hof. The same will be found there for all our guests who do not want to forego a lot of space for free development even on vacation.

In addition to 50 hectares of land, which stretches over Reit im Winkl with a wonderful view, Gut Steinbach offers direct access to endless forests and natural dreams. Organic certified agriculture is also part of the philosophy, as is the 80:80 rule, which is lived with passion, especially in the kitchen. 80 percent of all food comes from a maximum of 80 kilometers away, preferably from our close-knit partner companies. Chef Achim Hack is just as interested in sustainability as the owners, Countess and Count von Moltke.

In winter as in summer, in spring as in autumn, the Chiemgau is always worth a trip. Whether a relaxed wellness holiday, heaven for connoisseurs in the world of culinary art or an active holiday. From alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and wild tobogganing as well as walks through the snow-sure Reit im Winkl, in summer you can go into the mountains by mountain bike and to the Chiemsee by racing bike. Walking, swimming, canyoning, climbing are just as possible as cultural excursions to the world-famous Kitzbühel or to Salzburg.
Classic car enthusiasts, convertible drivers and leisure bikers among our guests enjoy a very special treat: Thanks to the location on the German Alpine Road, nothing stands in the way of relaxed cornering with an impressive view, and if you ask our chef nicely, he will surely have a little snack for you .
