Which hikes can you undertake?
Five premium hiking trails, climbing routes on the rock, and summit tours to the Fellhorn and Dürrnbachhorn are available. Families can hike to the Hausbachfall waterfall or discover the Three Lakes area. Hiking buses serve the Winklmoosalm and Hemmersuppenalm. Guided tours are included free of charge with the guest card.

Mountain Bike & E-Bike
530 kilometers of signposted mountain bike routes in the Bavaria-Tyrol-Salzburg border triangle. From easy local loops to a 1,000-meter elevation gain climb to the Steinplatte. E-bike charging station at Gut Steinbach, free mountain bike map available at the tourist information office.
Golf
Europe’s only cross-border golf course, the Reit im Winkl / Kössen Golf Club, is located just a few minutes from Gut Steinbach. 18 holes, 12 of which are in Bavaria and 6 in Tyrol. Reduced green fees for hotel guests. With the Chiemsee Golfcard, which you can purchase directly from us at reception, you can choose four out of twelve golf courses in the region for your game.
Fitness trail
Located directly in the woods behind the hotel: twelve stations for strength and coordination, established in 2020 with the idea of bringing people and nature together as a unit through movement and rediscovering them. Accessible to hotel guests at any time without registration.
Tennis
The Reit im Winkl Tennis Park welcomes guests and members alike on four well-maintained outdoor courts in an Alpine setting. Only a one-kilometer walk or less than five minutes away by car, an afternoon with net and ball can be wonderfully integrated into your stay. You can reserve courts through us: at reception, by phone, or by email. Rental rackets and balls are available at the court free of charge.
