Kitzbuehel in Tyrol

Between 1178 and 1182 it was first mentioned as Chizbuhel in a Chiemgau document, Kitzbühel can look back on an eventful history - sometimes as part of Bavaria, sometimes as part of Austria. Today Kitzbühel is best known as the glamorous city of winter sports, but it also inspires culturally with many churches, museums and exhibitions. Lake Chiemsee

Wasserburg am Inn

The Königssee impresses with its impressive natural backdrop. Because the mighty rocks of the Berchtesgaden Alps fall almost perpendicular to the shore, there are no paths on the shore. The small Hirschau peninsula on the west bank of the Königsee can only be reached on foot by a challenging alpine mountain tour lasting several hours. From Schönau, the approx. 8 km journey by ship is possible all year round. The 250 meter long barefoot path leads over cool stones, gnarled wood and soft moss - always with a view of the surrounding mountains.
